Two opposite answers to the same question
What a week to be working in AI.
Two releases landed, and they're basically opposite answers to the same question:
LangChain's Managed Deep Agents (now in public beta) - your agent is a folder, one command deploys it, and the platform handles all the production infra. Memory, sandboxes, durable execution, done.
Meta's Muse Glimmer (dropped yesterday) - a 30B open-weight model built for agentic work that runs on a single GPU. No cloud, no API bills, everything stays on your machine.
One says "let us run it for you." The other says "run it all yourself."
Planning to play with both. Honestly, this is the fun part of the job.
